The International Society of Talking Clock Collectors (ISTCC) was established by Mark B. McKinley, reflective of his long-abiding interest in horology.
It has been said that space provides the room for being and time provides the room for becoming, and so it is that clocks have defined the human experience. While most clocks display the time, since the early 1970's, hundreds of clocks have added the spoken word. Talking clocks make the world a better place for the sight impaired, for children who must learn to tell the time as well as, for the pure ease of hearing the time announced. Indeed, the latest iteration on clocks that talk is the interactive "Voice Command" talking clock. Ask "her" what time it is and the reply is the correct time (date, as well as temperature) with an end-note of "Have a nice day friend."

Collectors
MEMBERS of the ISTCC include hobbyists, memorabilia collectors, casual collectors, the sight impaired and those persons who have an interest in knowing more about matters of time. The one common bond (and main membership requirement) is a fascination with the art and science of timekeeping by clocks that talk.
